Twee Cosy
I crocheted a tea cosy. I admit it. I couldn't resist, I was compelled by a desire to adorn my teapot with something gorgeous. I loved every minute :) found this absolutely irresistible pattern, to be fair all the patterns on that site are lush and make me want to get hooking immediately :) I found the bottom to be slightly too big but I just button it nice and snug and I rather like the way it looks, fastened like that. Now I want to crochet some little coasters to go with it!

More Crocheted Goddesses :)
Ages ago I crocheted a cute little goddess from a pattern I found online. Now, do you think I can find that bloody pattern?! I've googled for literally hours with no luck, and I'm no good at fathoming out patterns from finished projects, lol. So...*fanfare*.... I've made one up! I'm excited because this is my first ever pattern, and I'm going to share it here. Please bear in mind that it is my first pattern so may not be perfectly written and if there are any mistakes, please let me know. Also, leave a message or link to pics if you do use this pattern, I would be so chuffed to see other creations from it! All I ask is that you don't sell my pattern or dollies made from it, thanks.
Little Amigurumi Goddess
I used a 3mm crochet hook and plain dk yarn but playing around with the hook size and yarn types will vary the finished doll, just remember to use a small enough hook so that there are no holes in the work or the stuffing will show through.
Body:
Make a magic loop, 4sc into it and pull closed.
1. Inc in each st, rpt around
2. Sc in next st, inc in next st, rpt around
3. Sc in each of next 2 sts, inc in next st, rpt around
4. Sc in each of next 3 sts, inc in next st, rpt around
Rows 5 - 8: sc around
9. Sc in each of next 3 sts, dec next 2 sts tog, rpt around

Rows 20 and 21: sc around
STUFF
22. Sc in each of next 2 sts, dec next 2 sts tog, rpt around
23. Sc in next st, dec next 2 sts tog, rpt around.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Stuff more if needed using the straight end of a crochet hook. With a darning needle, sew the remaining hole closed and weave in the yarn end.
Arms:
These were too small for me to want to bother with stitch markers etc, so what I did was 4sc into a magic ring, pull closed and keep crocheting round until the arms reach the desired length. I did not stuff them but you could, or insert a pipe cleaner to enable them to be more poseable. Fasten them off leaving a long tail and sew them on with a darning needle.
Enjoy customising and playing around with this pattern and please remember to send me pictures of your finished dollies! Lots of love xxx

Shoo Fly!
So me and my systers are doing a Secret Syster monthly swap, co-ordinated by the lovely Sabbles. My recipient for February is my gorgeous syster Sarah. I trawled her Swap-Bot profile for some ideas of what she might like, and I noticed she said she would love a crocheted Venus fly trap! Not one to balk at a challenge, I had a look for patterns but was not willing to pay for one so I decided to make up my own. Here below I present.....the finished article! I used pipe cleaners inside the stems so they are poseable, and popped them inside a plastic flowerpot. I think they turned out pretty cute :)
I hope she loves it! Blessed Be )O(

Oh, Sugar Sugar
A while ago we had a swap where we all sent our partners something sugar skull related. I made some sugar skull earrings and a pendant out of Fimo, but although the envelope I posted them in got to it's destination, the contents didn't. Here is a picture, I am glad I took it before I packaged them up!
So here is a picture of what I made for a resend. It is a small garland of cute crocheted sugar skulls. I had SO MUCH fun making these!! Definitely going to make more :)

Last Dance With Mary Jane
So I am trying a different Mary Janes pattern today, as I am not having much luck with the previous pattern I posted using a different yarn. The cotton yarn is lovely and breathable but a bit tough on the feet, LOL! So I am using Rico Kids Classic Aran yarn, it is beautiful and very soft, but works up much much smaller. So even when I increased the rows in the pattern, I couldn't get the sizing right. I am trying this pattern today and I am going to size it up as I go, using my own feet as the person I am making them for has similar sized feet :) Here's hoping that I get the required results with this one :) I'll keep you posted!

Time for Voodoo!
When you find out that someone you have known for nearly 20 years, is actually someone you didn't know at all, it's tremendously sad really. And that's what has happened to me this weekend. Perhaps I am karmically tying up loose ends? Anyway I know this blog entry probably sounds rather cryptic, LOL! But as you can gather from the title, I think it is time to make another Voodoo dolly, this time for myself. Not an effigy to stick pins in, that is not my style. But I need to do some banishing of bad residual energy, and so I am going to make a doll to help me. Any ideas of how to embellish or what to include? Post in the comments below :) I will upload pictures when it is finished.
Hopefully all the unpleasantness is out of the way, and so far I have had a rather pleasant day! I hope you all have too!
